Brand Development

As a Marketing Program Specialist, I assumed responsibility for developing a new financial education program at the credit union, achieving this role within six months of joining. Leading this initiative allowed me to leverage extensive project management skills. Notably, I guided the program's brand development, shaping its identity through a comprehensive proposal. I am focused on its successful integration throughout the credit union, positioning it as a key resource for financial education.

Alignment with Organizational Goals:
  • Considered the key objectives of the credit union to further their commitment to education.

  • Developed program goals, organizational benefits, and an overall mission for the new brand that aligned with the credit union's wants and needs.

Market Research and Audience Analysis:
  • Collected data through in-depth conversations with credit union leaders, member data, and industry data to determine the correct audience.

  • Aligned the brand voice, promotional strategy, and marketing tactics with the findings.

Visual Development:
  • Collaborated with an internal graphic designer to visually share the brand message.

  • Provided a mood board and collaborated on brand guidelines, including colors, typography, icons, and usage.

Project Management:
  • Set up projects in Basecamp to share details, tasks, and timelines with the necessary parties.

  • Created a comprehensive brand development plan that directly integrated with my in-depth launch plan for introducing the brand to credit union leaders, internal staff, and the public.

​​Innovation and Technology Integration:

  • Led the adoption of innovative virtual financial education software to include in the brand, aligning with the target audience's preferences.

Vendor Collaboration:
  • Worked with several vendors in the software, design, and print industries to secure product software, promotional items, and marketing materials.

Content Development and Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Collaborated with cross-functional teams to develop content for the financial education brand's promotion.
